Abstract

The work that will be presented below aims to develop a prototype of a software to aid in literacy and in the introduction to mathematics for students in kindergarten and in the early years of elementary school. By observing the atypical moment of remote classes due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and accompanying my daughter and her colleagues in literacy and introduction to mathematical activities and verifying the efforts of the teachers proposing activities and exercises that did not reach their objective (done in PowerPoint, which did not obey the correct commands) I realized that there are few software developed to serve this public, and the existing ones do not give the teacher the necessary access to prepare exercises the way they want. The intention of this software prototype is to give freedom to the teacher to suggest exercises that will be worked on in the classroom as well as to get the attention of the students to achieve the necessary learning in this academic stage. In this first moment, the prototype will present the screens that assisted students in the beginning of their literacy, highlighting the vowels and words that are easy to write and read. Application screens for mathematical exercises with basic operations such as Counting, Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division will also be presented. The prototype should have user-friendly and easily accessible screens, give teachers the option of accessing ready-made exercises, as well as exercises prepared by him and have playful images for the development of activities.
