Abstract

It is understood that the learning does not come from the memorization, but from the abilities to unite and to modify information transforming in knowledge, abilities that are also fomented in the electronic games. Since they are often ignored by school
institutions, the purpose of this research is to show the importance of inserting games into the educators' lesson plans, recognizing it as a pedagogical tool for the student's intellectual and social development. Interactivity and immersion are principles present in these games and could contribute to learning as a motivational tool. Reinforcing this theme, a research done with the Master Program in Education of Unoeste, analyzed the use of virtual games as a pedagogical resource to promote the development of the student's auditory perception. The application was made in music education with the realization that games can be used as a methodological tool, since they generate motivation.
