O uso da Tecnologia Assistiva e a inclusão de alunos com Necessidades Educativas Especiais

The constant evolution of new technologies brings challenges for everyone, especially for parents and educators. At the same time that they present benefits, this advance constantly modifies the way of life of the human being. Considering the above, this research aims to analyze the possibilities presented by the scientific productions developed in Brazilian Public Universities, from 2016 to 2020, regarding the use of Assistive Technology (AT) as a form of inclusion for students with Special Educational Needs ( SEN). The study also addresses the use of AT and its role in the inclusion of students with SEN. In addition to knowing these technologies, it was necessary to understand their classifications and categories, showing how they are inserted in the school routine. Also discussed was the role of AT in education and the barriers faced in order to have access to its resources. The studies analyzed denounce the lack of investment in scientific research in Brazil. They show the existing struggle in various social fields, with the objective of promoting inclusion as a way of seeing and interacting with students with SEN. Through the research it was possible to conclude that it is essential to propose new ways of teaching and learning through the use of Assistive Technology. It is also concluded that the use of ATs provide new ways of living for those who were once segregated, whether they are students with permanent or temporary SEN, helping them to participate in social life.
