Abstract

Psychomotricity is the science that allows us to understand how the child becomes aware of his body and the possibilities of expressing himself through it, establishing an internal and external connection and considering movement as a fundamental aspect. Psychomotor work moves the child from the perspective stage to the stage of mental representation, from a space oriented to a temporal space, constituting the articulation of the psychomotor, cognitive and affective aspects, having an important relevance in the child's global development and in the process of maturation. When the child does not develop psychomotricity properly, he may present problems in the next school stages, such as in the literacy stage. Thus, this document is a theoretical framework and a didactic proposal for working with psychomotricity in early childhood education.
