Abstract

This study aims to introduce how possible is to motivate employees in the business environment and what is the influence of motivation on professional performance. Throughout that work will be presented concepts about motivation, professional performance and self-achievement, as well as, what kind of motivation ways there are in the companies. The study will be carried out with a bibliographical research based on authors and articles available on the internet and also, a small collection of data with some employees of an S / A Company in order to verify what motivates those professionals in a work environment and if when they are feeling motivated, they do better their daily tasks. In the research conducted was verified that some numerous ways to the company does to motivate the employees. The professional who feels motivated, valued and recognized within the company in which he works has a better professional performance and tends to retain on his company, thus bringing gains for the organization in general.
